Dr. Sand is a dental consultant who worked 15 years in the California private practice sector dedicated to Cosmetic dentistry. After a mission trip to Calcutta working with Mother Teresa’s organization Missionaries of Charity he began to change his career vision. Dr. Sand realized that the most valuable gift a dental professional can give a patient is to teach them to value their own teeth. 7 years ago Dr. Sand accepted a leadership position in a Hawaiian community health center and also currently helps to build capacity to treat more underserved patients in 2 other FQHC centers. Dr. Sand has a passion to train dental leadership and the dental teams to build custom preventive care programs. The team at CSI Hawaii aspires to build the most innovative digital technology to track the clinical impact on oral health, to improve dental care delivery, and to partner in communication with patients in a plan to restore their oral health.
Dr. Beardsley-Hardy has served as the director of education for close to 8,000 schools including medical and dental schools. She has traveled extensively to coach education institutions around the world including Europe, Asia, South America, and the United States. Dr. Beardsley-Hardy believes the answers to improving oral health care depend on the commitment to the education of the health care professional, education of the patients, and a commitment to continual public health education. Dr. Beardsley-Hardy has a gift for creating collaborative cross-cultural groups of experts to create impactful curriculum that changes lives.

Russell serves as the Public Health Dental Director for the State of Iowa, Department of Public Health. He joined the organization in 2005. Bobby earned a B.S. degree from Grand Valley State University in 1981, a Doctor of Dental Surgery from Loyola University of Chicago in 1988, MPH in Public Health from the University of Michigan School of Public Health in 2002, MPA in Public Administration in 2019 and Certification in Public Management CPM, in 2017 from Drake University Graduate College of Business Management and Public Administration. Bobby resides in Des Moines where he also serves on the Board of Directors and the Advisory Board of the National Academy for State Health Policy (NASHP), the Executive Committee of National Committee of Dentists for Oral Health Equity, the Iowa Hawk-I Advisory Committee, the Free Clinics of Iowa Advisory Committee, Oral Health Iowa Coalition, and the Lifelong Smiles Dental Coalition.
